Ken Garves Scholarship 2024

The Mt. La Crosse Ski Patrol is honored to award one senior in the Coulee Region with a $500 scholarship in honor of Kenny Garves.  Kenny was a founding member of the Mt. La Crosse Ski Patrol, a local barber, and an avid outdoor enthusiast. Kenny loved all aspects of outdoor recreation from hunting and fishing to skiing and golfing.

Applications will be reviewed and recipients selected by the Kenny Garves Scholarship Committee. The committee will review and score each application and may reach out to the candidate’s high school for more information and any potential activity code violations. The scholarship will be awarded at the Mt. La Crosse Ski Patrol End of Year Banquet (date TBD, usually mid-May).

Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the student at the ski patrol banquet. The scholarship-winning student will be required to attend the Banquet to share their plans for the Fall and accept the check.
